Riviera Paradise

I got out to the greenbelt after work today and headed up to a trail called Rivera Paradise. It’s got a great view of the upper end of the greenbelt, which has a bit of water here and there right now. Check out the video below if you’ve never been on this trail. It’s an easy walk from the Campcraft Road trail head.

It’s been a while since I’ve seen any color on the greenbelt. Normally at this time of the year there would be lots of Turk’s Cap blooming, but the drought wasn’t kind to them this year. I did come across this plant, which I’m not familiar with, in a wet spot on the trail near an intermittent spring.

It’s not a very good photo, but if you know what these are send me a note or post the answer here.
