Twin Falls at Barton Creek Still Flowing

I headed out on my mountain bike to the Barton Creek greenbelt yesterday expecting to see the crossing at the Mopac bridge dry, but the creek was still flowing there and the crossing just downstream was still deep. It looked as though water was still flowing around the bend, but I didn’t cross there to find out.

Heading upstream I stopped at Twin Falls and was surprised to see how much water was there. After my usual try at cleaning the HOL (fail) I got a shot at the upper HOL dam. Good flow there still. I can tell you though that the crossing is really slippery, especially with plastic cycling shoes. Luckily I had a pretty soft landing. Headed up the Mulch Hill or Hill of Death (success) and home from there. A great day on the trails.
